Universal 15 Hours
Telferscot also has a Nursery class. We offer places to children in the term after their third birthday. All parents of 3 year olds are entitled to 15 hours of free nursery provision, referred to as ‘Universal 15 hours’. At Telferscot Nursery your Universal 15 hours can have a flexible pattern, set a term in advance. This means that you can have a mixture of mornings, afternoons and full days up to 15 hours. We try our best to accommodate the pattern you request.
Additional chargeable hours
You are able to request additional hours above the Universal 15 hours which are charged at a reasonable rate of £6 per hour.
30 hours free entitlement scheme
We are currently able to offer some places with the new 30 hours free entitlement scheme. We do not check eligibility for the scheme; this is done using an eligibility checker online. If you are eligible you will be issued with a DERN number which you must supply to the school office. We will ask you to fill in some school-based paperwork and sign an agreement with us. Checking eligibility for the 30 hours scheme is a parental responsibility and you will have to recheck your eligibility for the scheme at regular intervals and the school office will remind you of this.
There are a set of strict criteria to qualify for the scheme and information on how to apply can be found at https://childcare-support.tax.service.gov.uk/par/app/extendedentitlement
Lunches at school
If your child is attending Nursery all day they will have a school lunch. Lunches are staffed by the nursery team and other familiar adults who support the learning of the younger children in school. A menu is given out at the beginning of each term. School lunches are charged at £2 per day plus £3 for the supervision element.
