Child Protection and Safeguarding

All staff take this duty of care very importantly at Telferscot.  We have all had training and consider the protection and happiness of the children as our primary concern.  All staff are fully checked and we update this regularly.

By law, all cases of suspected or actual abuse must be reported to Social Care in Lambeth for investigation.  This includes unexplained marks or injuries, unusual behaviour and any working issues noticed or reported about a child.  This can be very upsetting for parents and children but child protection is important and a referral is just that – not an accusation.

It is vital that we protect our children.  In order to assist us with this we ask that parents keep us fully informed about any home issues that may impact on their children.  All information will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
