Welcome to Telferscot Primary School

Welcome to our school

The children, staff, parents and governors of Telferscot welcome you to our website.  We hope that your child’s journey through our primary school will be a happy time for you all – that your child flourishes in every way and that your family enjoys the learning journey.

Telferscot Primary School is a London Borough of Lambeth County Primary School for children from 3 to 11 years old. Tucked away in Balham we are a small school with a real sense of community.  Everyone is welcome and we pride ourselves on having developed a school with a ‘village feel’ in urban London.

The school is a one form entry school with 8 classes: the nursery class followed by three key stage 1 (infant) classes: reception, year 1 and year 2 then the four key stage 2 (junior) classes years 3, 4, 5 and 6.   Each class has a maximum of 30 pupils.

We believe that it is only through the partnership between school and home that children will achieve their full potential.  We hold regular meetings, parent-teacher surgeries,  send out a weekly bulletin to parents, run workshops, family learning evenings, coffee mornings and social events to help you get to know us better and learn more about your child’s education and share in their successes.

The Governors, Staff and pupils of Telferscot welcome you to finding out more about our school – what makes us special and why our children always achieve their full potential.  We work hard to make sure that everyone at the school feels a part of our success and a valued member of our learning community.  We welcome visitors and encourage you to come and have a look at what we feel makes us special.
