Getting Help With Learning

It is important that our children get the help they need to become the best person they can – and enjoy the success they deserve.

In order to help with being our best we have some special people who can help pupils along the way

The class teacher – always the first one to talk to about any concerns

Teaching Assistants – there to help every child achieve – no matter what the need

The Inclusion Team – ready to help with specific concerns about learning or behaviour – this team is best placed to help parents and pupils find the specific help they need.

Primary contacts for this team are: Denise York (Deputy Head) and Sarah Brogden (SENCo)

Behaviour and Learning Consultant – make an appointment to see Mrs Angela Guiliani who is available any Wednesday morning to see parents. Angela also works with pupils during the school day.

Telfer-time – Sometimes just a listening ear can make all the difference. Our teaching assistants support children’s social and emotional needs both in class and during playtime. Children know they can share their troubles, big or small with a trusted adult. If children share information that causes concern for their safety then these concerns are immediately passed on to our Child Protection leads.
