Super Science

16 Nov 2017

A massive thank you to Dr Berry who came into 3PJ today to conduct some experiments and consolidate our learning about health and our bodies. We had a great morning looking at different types of fat, estimating quantities of sugar in different foods and, most excitingly, extracting the iron from cornflakes. Ask any member of 3PJ how you could do this experiment at home with your favourite fortified cereal.

Children in Need TOMORROW!

16 Nov 2017

Don't forget it's Children In Need TOMORROW. Remember to dress in your best 80s outfit and bring in a pound. Also bring in any spare change you have and sponsor our brave teachers for their crazy challenges. At the end of the day there will be. A cake sale to round off the day of fundraising.

Children in Need NEXT WEEK – Friday 17th November

09 Nov 2017

Telferscot is gearing up for Children in Need next week and this year is going to be pretty special!

On Friday next week, children (and staff) are encouraged to come to school dressed up in 80’s themed costumes. Think leg warmers, shoulder pads and all of your favourite 80’s movie / pop stars. There is so much to choose from!

A number of teachers will also be taking part in a variety of hilarious/brave/insane fund raising activities on the day, which children and adults can get involved in – please enjoy and donate to some of the following fund raising ideas:

  • Mr Plews having his legs waxed - £££’s for each strip… (Just the legs!!!) - 😖
  • Miss Ball extreme hair cut - 😱
  • Miss Curry’s Baked Beans shower - 🤢
  • Miss Newling teaching on an exercise bike and cycling all day – 🚴🏻‍♀️

There will also be a cake sale at the end of the day. All of the proceeds will go towards Children In Need. We hope that you are looking forward to it as much as the teachers above aren’t!

Thank you for all attending the Parents Evening this week. 100% attendance- give yourselves a pat on the back! It was lovely to meet you all and discuss the wonderful 3PJ.

As mentioned in the meetings, below are some links for some fab times tables games and also a link to a recommended reading list similar to the one we had on the evening. (With helpful links to Amazon, although you can easily obtain the books from the library!)

Any questions just drop us an email or catch us at the end of the day to organise a good time to chat.
